Why blog?

"This blog is about ME. Who I am, what I do, and what I love. It is where my career meets my personal life. It is where both meet my educational career and how they all jumble together."

I would like this to be a place where I can explore and put information and merge 3 different and important parts of my life.

1. My personal/social life: ie, family, friends, updates, share some of my favorite pictures, and jot down some of my favorite memories.

2. My teaching career. Record my life as a special education teacher for children with Autism. Store memories but ALSO keep track of important information to help me become a better teacher. Keep track of links, save and post fun lessons I do with the students, and record creative ideas. A place where I can REMEMBER and keep track of what I have done.

3. My educational career. I am pursuing my education and this fall I will begin a Ph.D program at Chapman University. I think it is important I have a place where I can keep track of information, my milestones in this area... and just really help me better organize myself.

This is why I decided to blog. I want a place on this world wide web to call my own. Welcome to my home!
